1、Unit 6 When was it invented? Section A (1a—2d) 一、教學目標 1. 學生能熟練掌握下列詞匯及短語:style, project, pleasure, daily, website, pioneer, list, mention, be used for, with pleasure, think about 2. 掌握重點句型: I think the TV was invented before the car. Well, I think the TV was invented after the car. When was

2、the telephone invented? I think it was invented in 1876. What are they used for? They’re used for seeing in the dark. 3. 能夠聽懂日常生活中一些物品的發(fā)明時間,發(fā)明者和發(fā)明用途的文章。 4. 能夠用“be(過去式was/were)+動詞過去分詞”結(jié)構(gòu)來談?wù)撘恍┌l(fā)明的歷史。 5. 讓學生了解各種發(fā)明的歷史,增強常識了解,激發(fā)學生的創(chuàng)造力。 二、教學重點及難點 重點: 1. 掌握本單元出現(xiàn)的詞匯、短語及目標語言。 2. “be(過去式was/were)+動詞

3、過去分詞”結(jié)構(gòu)來談?wù)撘恍┌l(fā)明的歷史。 難點: 掌握和運用“be(過去式was/were)+動詞過去分詞”結(jié)構(gòu)來談?wù)撘恍┌l(fā)明的歷史。 三、教學準備 教師:教學課件;多媒體設(shè)備 學生:課前預習 四、教學過程 Task 1 Step 1 Warming-up Look at the pictures and have a talk. T: Which one do you think is the most helpful invention in our daily life? S: … 【設(shè)計意圖】通過圖片幫助學生理解invention的含義,引出更多發(fā)明名稱,為下一步

4、討論發(fā)明作好詞匯準備。 Step 2 Pre-listening Work on 1a Look at the things and have discussions with their groups. Then number them. 【設(shè)計意圖】展示圖片,引入“發(fā)明”的話題,為下面的1b環(huán)節(jié)做準備。 Step 3 While-listening Work on 1b Listen and match the inventions with the years. 【設(shè)計意圖】讓學生圍繞中心話題進行聽力訓練,鍛煉了學生的聽力能力和抓取關(guān)鍵信息的能力。并結(jié)對談?wù)搱D畫中的物體的

5、發(fā)明時間,提高了學生的口語表達能力。 Step 4 Post-listening Work on 1c Make conversations using the information in 1c. 【設(shè)計意圖】1c活動讓學生將之前所學到的知識通過口語的方式表達出來,既鍛煉了學生的口語,也對所學知識加強了鞏固。 Task 2 Step 1 Pre-listening Look at the pictures and have discussions. 【設(shè)計意圖】通過讓學生對發(fā)明物品的時間和用途進行討論,幫助學生進行2a聽力材料中內(nèi)容的預測。 Step 2 While-lis

Role-play the conversation. 【設(shè)計意圖】通過設(shè)置題目,讓學生獲取對話主要內(nèi)容和一些細節(jié)信息,鍛煉學生快速獲取信息的能力,為下一步的表演對話作鋪墊。再通過角色扮演,幫助學生在情境中加深對話題語言的口語模仿。 Language points 1. —Can you help me think of an invention? —With pleasure! (1) Can

8、you…? 意為“你能……嗎?”,后接動詞原形。其肯定回答一般為 “Sure, I’d love/like to. /With pleasure.”,否定回答常用“Sorry, I can’t…”。 (2) With pleasure! 意為“樂意效勞!”,常用于表示接受或同意某事。 【拓展】My pleasure. 常用作對別人表示感謝時的禮貌回答。相當于“It’s my pleasure. /A pleasure.”。 e.g. —Could you help me with my math? —With pleasure! 2. They are used for seeing

9、 in the dark. be used for doing sth. 意為 “被用來做某事”,與be used to do sth. 同義,表示用途、目的。 e.g. This computer is used to control all the machines. 3. Think about how often it’s used in our daily lives. think about 意為“考慮,想起”。 【拓展】think of 意為“考慮,記起”;think sth. out 意為“想通,想出”。 e.g. He is thinking about tra
