Analysis of the teaching material:
This module is aiming
2、at talking about the life in the past of the students from China and abroad. All the activities are carried out around the topic of How to describe the life in the past. In the conversation in Unit 1 Chinese Lingling and English Tony describe their own first schools, first teachers and first friends
3、. It is easy but it is full of their love.
Analysis of the students:
As for Junior students in the second term in Grade 7 ,they learned how to introduce his hometown last term. They may be interested in it. They may like others to know about themselves. They would like to talk about their past
4、 life. Maybe they will take an active part in teaching and learning activities.
Teaching aims:

16、ask-based approach and it also consists of the use modern internet technologyu.During this class, students mainly study three contents: One is about how to ask the birthday date; One is about How to describe the life in the past,such as the first school/teacher/friends and what it/he/she/they was/we
17、re like; The third is about past simple be(am/is--was are--were).The difficulty and importance is the study of the new words and the sentences about talking about one’s past life.While teaching the new words,I showed them out with the pictures and multimedia as usal. At the same time,help the stud
18、ents study these sentences:where were you born?what was the name of your first school?Who were your first friends?What was she/he like? She/He was quite difficult.The ten new words are easy to study for the students, so it only took a little time to teach them .The topic is familiar to the students
19、,they were insterestd in it.They were very confident at practising the new patterns.During the firs half the class, students can talk about themselves and mainly finished Report I(MYSELF) according to my order in pairs. I also told them to write down the more information of their parters’.When I hea
20、rd a student said her first school was Xiyou Primary School, I told them Xiyou Primary School was named after Sheng Xiyou. And Sheng Xiyou was a hero,he died of helping others.We should be proud of him and learn from him.
While teaching the conversation, I use sevreal different ways:by watching car
21、toon, the students can be more interested in it; by listening and filliing in the blanks; by reading and choosing the correct answers to the questions,they can understand and remember it easily.
In Step 5, I designed I am an interviewer.in order to add to the interest.And the students had got much
22、information of thier partners’,so they could finished a writing task (Reporter II) based on what they have learned in groups.During the tesk students’ learning abilities can be improved.At last I used three old photos of my past life to give them moral education. Lead them love their their their tea
23、chers and friends.
Some problems also existed in this class .For example, a few students can’t arrange sentences structures properly and use correct grammar to express their opinions clearly.In the next teaching, the teacher should give them more help.
In a word, the class went on well.Students we
24、re active and excited. The teacher and students fuflilled the purposes of teaching and learning. I think during teaching in the future we should believe in students’ ability.In the task language teaching, we should make full use of IT so that we can make the teaching more lively.Although I was a new teacher for the students.This was our first class,we didn’t know each other,we could get on very well with each other and finished the teaching content easily.
