9、s of my favorite presenters. 本句中when引導(dǎo)的是時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句，listening to my favourite programmes, and to the voices of my favorite presenters在句中作狀語(yǔ)，表示伴隨狀況。 my favourite programmes和the voice of my favorite presenters是listening to后面兩個(gè)并列的賓語(yǔ)。and后面省略了listening。8. It seemed that they were speaking seem表示“似乎”，后面可接不定式，如
10、不定式是to be加形容詞，則to be有時(shí)可省去。如： He seems (to be) quite happy. 他似乎很開心。 如用于否定句，可否定seem，也可否定不定式。如： She didnt seem to enjoy herself at the party. = She seemed not to enjoy herself at the party. 她似乎在聚會(huì)上玩得不愉快。鏈接It seemed that . 表示“看起來(lái)似乎”。如： It seems that there will be heavy rain soon. 好像馬上要下大雨了。 It seemed th
11、at our teacher was pleased with me about it. 關(guān)于這件事我的老師似乎對(duì)我很滿意。拓展 seem, look這兩個(gè)詞一般用作半系動(dòng)詞，都可以譯作“似乎”或“看上去”。 seem所表示的“似乎”或“看來(lái)”是以客觀的跡象為依據(jù)的。 look所表示的“看來(lái)”是以視覺(jué)所接受的印象為依據(jù)的。in person 親身，親自 Ill go to the meeting in person. 我將親自赴會(huì)。 You may apply for tickets in person or by letter. 需要票者可親自來(lái)申請(qǐng)亦可來(lái)信索取. He will be pr

Lets do a sound check.sound n. 聲音 I hear the sound of the birds every night. 每天晚上我都聽到鳥叫聲。 I hope I never hear that sound again. 我希望我再也不會(huì)聽到那種聲音。鏈接 sound v. “聽起來(lái)”, 相當(dāng)于系動(dòng)詞be, 后面接形容詞作它的表語(yǔ)。 That sounds good. 那聽起來(lái)不錯(cuò)。辨析 sound, voice, noisesound 泛指一切聲響，指一切可以聽到的聲音
13、。sound還可以用作動(dòng)詞，表示“聽起來(lái)”，后面跟形容詞作表語(yǔ)。sound like表示“聽起來(lái)像”，后面跟名詞。voice 表示“嗓音”，指人的說(shuō)話聲或唱歌聲。noise 噪音，吵鬧聲，常具有貶義，表示令人心煩的不和諧的“嘈雜聲，噪音，響聲”。可以用a, some, any, much等詞修飾，但不用many修飾。10. purpose is to check the sound level.purpose用作名詞，主要意思為“目的，意圖”。用法注意： (1) 表示做某事的目的，通常用 the purpose of 的結(jié)構(gòu)。如： What was the purpose of his vis
14、it? 他來(lái)訪的目的是什么? He came here with for the purpose of seeing his family. 他來(lái)這里的目的是探親。若 purpose 前用了物主代詞，則通常連用介詞 in。如： What is your purpose in being here? 你在這兒干什么? Her purpose in going to Japan is to look for her uncle. 她去日本的目的是找她叔叔。 以下結(jié)構(gòu)也用介詞 in。如： I have a purpose in making this trip to Europe. 我這次歐洲之行是
15、有目的的。(2) 表示為了某種目的，通常用 for purposes (其中的 purpose通常用復(fù)數(shù))。如： He keeps a horse for pleasure purposes. 他為消遣而養(yǎng)馬。 He learns Japanese for business purposes. 他學(xué)習(xí)日語(yǔ)是為做生意。 類似的例子有：for medical purposes (為了醫(yī)學(xué)的目的)，for scientific purposes (為了科學(xué)的目的)，English for commercial purposes (商業(yè)英語(yǔ))等。(3) 用于 on purpose, 意為“有意地；故意地”。如： I came here on purpose to see you. 我是特意來(lái)看你的。 She broke the dish on purpose just to show her anger. 她故意打破碟子以表示她的憤怒。
