3、fer sth. 更喜歡e.g.Do you prefer coffee or tea? 你喜歡咖啡還是茶?prefer.to 喜歡而不喜歡（to前后用名詞、代詞或v.-ing形式）e.g.I prefer dogs to cats.貓與狗相比，我更喜歡狗。He prefers walking to running.他寧愿走路而不愿跑。prefer (sb.) to do 喜歡（某人）做（prefer跟不定式或不定式的復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)）e.g.I prefer to walk there.我寧愿走著去那里。I prefer you to go with me.我寧愿你跟我一起去。I should pr

5、g.Going to the party on Saturday? 周六去參加晚會嗎？You bet! 當(dāng)然去！（2）be better at是be good at的比較級，意為“更擅長”，be good at也可替換為do well in，比較級為do better in，意為“在方面更好”。e.g.He is good at English.=He does well in English.他在英語方面學(xué)得好（他擅長英語）。注意：be good at和do well in后接動詞時要變?yōu)閯用~。e.g.He is good at playing volleyball.=He does we

7、校上學(xué)。辨析：have been to與have gone to；have been in / at的區(qū)別上面這三個短語看起來相似，但它們的意義和用法卻不相同。（1）“have（has）been to+某地”表示“某人曾經(jīng)去過某地”。（但現(xiàn)在已回來了。）e.g.I have been to Beijing three times.我已經(jīng)去過北京三次了。Where have you just been?你剛才去哪兒了？（2）“have（has）gone to+某地”表示“某人已去某地了”。（此人可能已到了目的地，也可能正在途中，總之還沒有回來。）e.g.My uncle has gone to
8、Shanghai.我叔叔已去上海了。Where has he gone？他去哪兒了？（3）“have been in / at某地”表示“某人已經(jīng)來到了某地”。它的主語可以是各種人稱，并且可用for一段時間，how long修飾它。e.g.I have been in the city for 10 years.我已在這個城市住了10年了。How long have you been at this school?你在這所學(xué)校多久了？5We spend the first 10 minutes in our classroom while our teacher checks which pu
9、pils are present or absent.頭十分鐘我們在教室，老師檢查學(xué)生的出勤情況。（1）spend的常用搭配：e.g.I spent $10 on the book. 我買這本書花了10美元。I spent an hour on my homework. 我做作業(yè)花了1小時。=I spent an hour(in)doing my homework.拓展：e.g.I paid $10 for the book. 我買這本書花了10美元錢。I offered him the house for 10000.我要價10000英鎊賣給他那幢房子。I offered him 10000
10、 for the house. 我出價10000英鎊向他買那幢房子。The book cost me $10. 這本書花了我10美元。It took me an hour to do my homework. 做我的作業(yè)花了1小時。注意：主語是人的用spend, pay, offer；主語是物時用cost；主語為it作形式主語時用take。哪些動詞只用于花錢？哪些動詞只用于花時間？哪些動詞用于花錢、時間均可？（2）present or absent意為“出勤”，也可用present and absent.6We have two more lessons before school finis
11、hes.放學(xué)之前我們還要上兩節(jié)課。（1）more一般位于數(shù)詞之后名詞前，有時也可置于名詞之后。e.g.She has got five more electric fans.她還有五臺電扇。One more step（One step more）, and Ill shoot you.再走一步，我就開槍打死你。Where shall we be in ten more years？再過十年，我們會在什么地方呢？（2）more除跟數(shù)詞外，還可與a little，a few，a lot，several等詞連用，而且名詞也可是不可數(shù)名詞。e.g.Id like to buy a few more c
12、opies of English Weekly.我想再買幾份英語周報(bào)。There are many more dictionaries on the desk.課桌上有許多詞典。Would you like some more tea？再喝點(diǎn)茶好嗎？辨析：more/another/other的區(qū)別。（1）another表“另一個”時只跟可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)，而表“另外的、額外的、附加的”之意時，可跟帶有few或具體數(shù)字的復(fù)數(shù)名詞，此時可把“數(shù)詞復(fù)數(shù)名詞”看作是一個整體。e.g.Have you finished your report yet？你的報(bào)告完了嗎？No, I will finish it
13、in another 10 minutes.沒有，還需10分鐘。The strike may last another three days.罷工可能還要持續(xù)三天。Ill be here for another few weeks.我在這兒還要呆幾個禮拜。（2）other 表“另外的”接復(fù)數(shù)名詞，如與具體數(shù)詞連用，則置于數(shù)詞之后，但與定冠詞the連用時，other要放在數(shù)詞前。e.g.Tony is going camping with two other little boys next Sunday.托尼將于下周日與另外兩個男孩一起去野營。Mr. Smith asked me to fet
14、ch three other recorders.史密斯先生讓我再拿三臺錄音機(jī)來。Do you know where he found the other two photos？你知道他是在哪兒找到另外兩張照片的呢？7PE involves physical exercise, basketball, training in the gym and swimming體育課包括體育鍛煉、籃球、在體育館訓(xùn)練及游泳involve表示“包含；涉及”。e.g.This lesson involves a lot of work.這一課涉及到要做的工作很多。involve常見搭配：（1）involve s
15、b. /sth. in doing sth.使某人/某物參與某事中e.g.Dont involve me in solving your problem.不要拉我進(jìn)去，你解決你的問題?。?）involve sb. /sth. in sth.使某人/某物陷入困境e.g.Dont involve other people in your trouble.別把別人牽涉進(jìn)你的麻煩中去。8Class teachers meet the class and check who is present and absent at the beginning of the day.一天開始的時候班主任老師和同學(xué)
16、見面，老師檢查同學(xué)的出勤情況。（1）who is present and absent at the beginning of the day.是賓語從句，作check的賓語。（2）at the beginning 通常后接介詞 of 引導(dǎo)的短語，表示“在初/在開始的時候”，指時間與 at the end of（表示“在結(jié)束的時候”）相對應(yīng)。e.g.Students usually make a study plan at the beginning of a term.開學(xué)初學(xué)生通常要制定一個學(xué)習(xí)計(jì)劃.Mr. Wang spoke at the beginning of the meetin
17、g.會議開始的時候，王先生發(fā)了言.My grandma died at the beginning of this month.我的奶奶在月初去世了。at the beginning 單獨(dú)使用，意為“起初/首先”，在意思上與 in the beginning 區(qū)別不大。e.g.At the beginning, I was nervous.起先，我很緊張。At the beginning, collect as many stamps as you can.首先，盡可能多地收集郵票。At the beginning I was not interested, but slowly my int
18、erest grew.一開始我不感興趣，但慢慢就覺得有意思了。9More and more people in different parts of the world are educating at home instead of sending them to school. 世界不同地方越來越多的人在家教育孩子而不是把他們送到學(xué)校去。instead of 的意思是“代替”、“而不”，其主要用法如下：（1）作為短語介詞，instead of 后面常跟名詞、代詞和動名詞，偶爾也跟復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)。e.g.I have come instead of my brother. He is ill. 我
19、代替我哥哥來，他病了。I will go instead of you. 我會代替你去。Instead of doing it himself, he got a man to do it. 他不是自己干，而是叫了個人做。（2）instead of 后面還可跟形容詞、副詞、動詞、不定式、介詞短語和從句，這時它相當(dāng)于連詞，但也有不少人認(rèn)為它們是介詞。但是，對中學(xué)生來說，重要的不是它的詞性，而是它的用法。請看下面的例句：e.g.Taking exercise every day makes him look younger instead of older. 每天鍛煉身體使他顯得更年輕而不是蒼老。
20、（連接形容詞）I go to bed late instead of early.我總是很晚才睡。（連接副詞）That increased instead of decreased our courage. 這增加而不是減少了我們的勇氣。（連接動詞）He proposes to do some work instead of to watch television.他提議做些工作而不是看電視。（連接不定式）In warm weather he often reads under a tree instead of in the library.天氣暖和的時候，他常常是在樹下而不是在圖書館里讀書
