Step I Revision;
Check the homework to see whether the Ss have mastered the use of “it” for emphasis.
Ask Ss to use the sentence structure of emphasis to make a few sentences.

5、 Listening
Get the Ss to prepare for the listening by asking some questions
Play the tape for the first time. Help the Ss get a general understanding about it. The Ss listen and try to answer questions in Exercise 1. Play the tape again, train Ss’ ability to pick out specific information.

From what we’ve just listened to, we can see global warming is only one of the environmental problems. There are many other problems. Can you give me some examples?

The teacher may as well collect some picture about environmental problems and show them to
