It plays an important role in our lives. Everybody needs friends. However, girls and boys have different types of friendships and different attitudes towards friendship. Next please read the passage about different attitudes teenage boys and girls have about friendships and answer the following questions:1) What puzzles Robert?2) Whats the difference between girls and boys in their attitudes towards friendship?3) What are boys and girls friendships each based on？Suggested Answers:1. Ss: Step Two: Giving an oral report T: Ok, next we will plan and conduct a survey and prepare an oral report to present to your class. Lets complete it step by step. Planning:n Work in small groups. You will discuss and decide on a certain topics on the different attitudes between boys and girls. Circle one of the topics below or write down one of your own. favourite food hobbies the future family school subjects music My own topic: _ (Make sure that all the group members agree on the topic they choose and that different groups choose different topics. Preparing:n Now that you have chosen your topic, your group will need to discuss and agree on an answer to each of the following questions:1) What is the primary purpose o our survey?2) How many questions we will ask?3) Who will take our survey? Discuss the tasks listed below and decide which group member will responsible for the task. Write the names beside the work each member is going to do .1) Write survey questions/Design the survey _2) Conduct the survey and calculate the results _3) Write the report _4) Present the oral report _ ( Ask students to discuss the three major questions first. Then they should decide what each group member will be responsible for to finish each task. Set a deadline for it.) Producing:n Members responsible for writing the survey questions need to write multiple-choice questions that can be answered quickly and are easy to total when the survey is complete.
