1 教師或?qū)W生率先查找有關(guān)萬圣節(jié)的信息。
2 相關(guān)的圖片和教學(xué)掛圖。
3 錄音機。
4 多媒體課件。
教學(xué)步驟
Step I 導(dǎo)入

1 復(fù)習(xí)前一課時所學(xué)內(nèi)容。教師說：We have already learnt something about different festivals around the world. Do you remember them? 向?qū)W生出示除萬圣節(jié)以外的五個節(jié)日的圖片并問：What is this festival? How do people celebrate it?
2 導(dǎo)入本課時內(nèi)容。教師最后出示Halloween的圖片，請學(xué)生回憶上一課時學(xué)習(xí)的有關(guān)該節(jié)日的信息。
Step II 呈現(xiàn)
1 該環(huán)節(jié)中，教師要將萬圣節(jié)的慶祝方式以文字形式呈現(xiàn)給學(xué)生。
方式一：圖片呈現(xiàn)。

(1) people who are dressing up and wearing masks
(2) people whose faces are painted
(3) pumpkin lanterns
(4) children who are playing “trick or treat”
(5) a Halloween party
教師說：Today we will talk about more details about Halloween. Here I have some pictures of this festival. First, let’
5、s look at the big orange one. It is a lantern for us to see clearly at night, and this lantern is made out of a pumpkin. It’s a pumpkin lantern.。呈現(xiàn)過后教師帶讀生詞pumpkin lantern。
教師繼續(xù)說：At Halloween, people dress up and wear masks or paint their faces. They try to make themselves different from usual, beca

教師繼續(xù)說：At Halloween, children’s favourite game is to play “trick or treat”. Have you heard about it? 請知道這個游戲的學(xué)生描述或演示。教師解釋：Children will knock on people’s doors and ask for some candy as a treat. If they do not get the treat,
7、they will play a trick on people. 教師帶讀生詞：trick or treat, knock on the door。
教師繼續(xù)呈現(xiàn)：On the evening of October 31, people will have a party to celebrate the festival. What do you think they will do at the party? 教師對學(xué)生的回答進行總結(jié)：People usually have nice food and drinks at parties.
方式二：實物及實景呈現(xiàn)。
教師可以在課前請
8、幾位學(xué)生準(zhǔn)備一個實物南瓜燈，一到兩件萬圣節(jié)服裝和面具，另請兩到三位學(xué)生準(zhǔn)備一個“不款待就搗亂”的活動。
方式三：視頻呈現(xiàn)。
2 完成B1部分的練習(xí)，對萬圣節(jié)的活動進行歸納總結(jié)。教師先以口頭提問的方式將萬圣節(jié)的慶祝方式進行歸納，然后說：Here are the notes about Halloween on page 59. Please try to complete them. 學(xué)生完成后，用實物投影儀將一名學(xué)生的答案投影給全體學(xué)生，進行答案講解核對。
3 呈現(xiàn)閱讀主課文。教師說：Millie’s pen friend Wendy lives in the USA. She writ
9、es a letter to Millie to tell her something about Halloween. Now let’s listen to the letter and tell me how Wendy likes Halloween. 教師放錄音，之后請學(xué)生回答問題：Wendy likes Halloween best.
Step III 練習(xí)
1 朗讀課文，可采取全班跟錄音朗讀，集體朗讀，分組或單獨朗讀方式。
2 初步理解課文，完成教材B2部分練習(xí)。
3 進一步閱讀并理解課文，回答問題

教師給學(xué)生三分鐘時間準(zhǔn)備，把下列提示詞呈現(xiàn)給學(xué)生。

1 朗讀并復(fù)述課文。
