Sentences: Will it be windy in Beijing? Yes, it will. / No, it wont. 3. Using “will” to describe weather in the future. Teaching properties: cards tape-recorder CAI Teaching procedures: (1) Warming up: Look say and act: hot cold rain sunny snow windy (復(fù)習(xí)學(xué)過的有關(guān)天氣的形容詞,為本課的學(xué)習(xí) 打好基礎(chǔ)) (2) Presentation: Show a map pf China. Write city’s name on the map. Show the cards of weather to students. And listen to the tape then point to the pictures. Draw the simple pictures on the board. And write the words. Learn the words and draw the pictures in the exercise books. (同時講解 rain與 rainy 的區(qū)分) Show the robot to the students and say “The robots will do everything. So the robots will broadcast the weather, too. Now let’s act. Listen again and repeat the text then act (表演機器人天氣預(yù)報員,以小組的形式操練句型) Show CAI to students. (看課件,模仿并跟讀,引出本課的重點句子,板書句子。) (3) Practice: Game: Listen and stick. Listen to tape and stick the cards on map. ( 聽一聽,貼一貼的活動調(diào)動了學(xué)生的積極性,訓(xùn)練了學(xué)生的聽做能力。它是讓學(xué)生聽到某地的天氣情況,把相關(guān)的圖片與城市連在一起。) Do this game in groups or in pairs. Do the exercises in AB. (4) Production: Look at the CAI and ask “What will the weather be?” (出示各種天氣的課件,展開游戲,讓學(xué)生運用 “Will it ______________? ” 來提問。) In groups or in pairs to continue the game. Copy the pictures from the textbook,draw your own or get the students to draw some. 3)Write the appropriateweatherwords underneath and place the pictures on the wall of the classroom. 4)Look outside and say,Its...today Hold up or point to the appropriate weather symbol. You will have to sayraining or snowingif there si rain or snow. Note that you will also have to teachcloudyas it is in the poem. 5)Now perform mimes to show the students the meaning of the other weather conditions or make a statement and have the studets do an appropriate mime. Step 2 : Learning and practising 1)Play this memory game before doing Activity 2. Have the students close their books.Call out a city and the students have to say the type of weather in that city.(do a lot of examples. Then have the student continue the activity in pairs. After three turns, they should swap roles.) 2)Have the students look at the books and say what they think the chant will be about(the weather) 3) Ask the students what is their favourite time of year and why. Find out if they prefer being hot or cold 4)play the spoken version of the chant and get the students to repeat. 5)Play the tape and have the class say the chant as they listen. 6)Divide the class into three groups. Explain that each group will say one stanza of the chant. 7)Explain to the students that they can do some actions as they say the chant. They can move their bodies slightly as they saywindyto indicate that they are being blown about by the wind. They can fan themselves with their hands as they say the wordhot When they saycloudy,They should look upwards as though they are looking aat the sky.They can shiver as they saysnow.When they say playin the last stanza, they should give a big smile.
