5、4.1. Long ago, many British people were forced to leave their country and go to some other places.

【解析】(1)force v.譯為“強迫，迫使”，其常用短語有：be forced to do sth. 譯為：
【拓展】強迫某人做某事________________________________=force sb. into doing sth
【辨析】 force 和make 都表示“迫使”，
6、但有區(qū)別。force含有較強的暴力威脅之意，而make則表示一般意義上的“使得，讓”。
