Review
Flashcard activity
Prepare the profession flashcard from last year. Review the cards one by one. Play a guessing game.
Words to learn
Have the children open th
2、eir books at page 4. Draw their attention to the top half of the page. Point to the picture and have the children say what they can see in the picture.
Now point to the spaceship and elicit the name “a spaceship” from them. In this way you actually training the children to explore the meaning and
3、pronunciation of the new words. The teacher then models the word and have the children repeat. Use the same procedure with the other words in the picture.
Now draw their attention to the words in the box. The children might still have interest to pronounce the words. Provide opportunity for them t
4、hen.
Play the tape, and have the children point on their books.
Extended word game:
Show several words together and then take them away altogether. See how many words they can remember.

Have the children look at the pictures at the bottom of the page. Explain that ea
5、ch of the pictures describes a different dream of Ann.
Ask children to talk about where Ann was or what she was in each dream. Using the structure She was a doctor./ She was on Mars.
Play the tape. Have the children point to the corresponding picture.
Play the tape again. Now explain to the ch
6、ildren that this time they need to write the corresponding sentence number in the box next to the matching picture.
When all the children finished, point to each picture and elicit sentences from the children.
2. Use the books.
Have the children open the books at page5 and look at the pictures
7、on top of the page.
Have the children look at the two children in the picture. Explain that Sue and Peter are talking about where they were yesterday. Point to the picture on the right. Elicit the names for the places shown in the picture. Ask the children where they think Sue and Peter were yester
8、day.
Now tell the children to read the text below the picture on the left and answer your question. Elicit, “Sue was at the park. “Peter was at the movie theater.”
Read the dialogue. Act out the dialogue.

2. Uncle Booky’s Blackboard
Tell the children to look at the blackboard on the top of page 6. Model the structures by reading them aloud to the class.
Have the children
10、 repeat the strctures in a class drill. Use all possible binations.

Draw the children’s attention to the pictures at the bottom of the page.Tell them that Mocky had a dream last night and you want them to tell you about his dream and that they only need to say one sentence for e
11、ach pictures.
Have the children talk about what illustrated in each picture:Who were in Mocky’s dream? Where were they?
Encourage the children to tell the dream together with you.
4. Read and write
Write the missing words
Have the children open their books at page 7. Draw the children’s
12、attention to the letter on the top half of the page. Explain to the children that the letter was writing by a girl called Jane. Jane is staying at a friend’s house and the letter is to her mother. Tell the children that some words are missing from the letter. The missing words sre in the box at the
13、bottom of the letter.Explain that the words can be used more than once.
Put the children into pairs and have them plete the letter.
At the end of the activity, read the letter aloud together.
Write about Uncle Booky’s dream
Have the children look at the picture in the middle of the page. A
14、sk them to tell what illustrated in the pictures.
Tell them the pictures describe Uncle’s Booky’s dream. Ask the children what the dream is about. Have them tell the dream.
Explain that you want them to write out Uncle Booky’s dream, and they need to write only one sentence for each picture.
15、 Have children work individually to plete the writing.
Tell the dream
When all the children finished, draw their attention to the instruction at the bottom of the page. Tell the children that you want to tell each other their dreams like the two children on the book. Put the children into pairs and practice. They can also choose to tell Uncle Booky’s dream.
