To talk about favourite festivals Teaching tools: A recorder ,some pictures and a calendar Teaching procedure 教師活動及主要用語 學(xué)生活動 個人定奪或課后反思 Step One : Warm up Have a free talk about “the favourites”. 1.T:Do you like the colour red?What’s your favourite colour? 2.T:Does she like apple ? What’s her favourite fruit? 3T:Does he like swimming? What’s his favourite sport? 4.T:Do you like English ? What is your favourite subject? Make dialogues like the model Step Two :Presentation Show a calendar T: I have a calendar in my hand .Look at it .Can you find out on the calendar what day it is today? T:Can you find October 1? Look ,it is red.Why? Because it is a festival. T:Can you find January 29 on it ?It’s red too.Why. T:Point to October 31 on the calendar . this is a festival too. It is Halloween. T:There is some interesting things about Halloween.Can you tell us? Step three Pactice 1.Ask the students to look at the ics on Page 38 and ask:”Do you know What festival Eddie and Hobo are celebrating?” 2.Tell students to close the books and listen to the tape twice and then answer the question : What is Hobo dressing up as? What is he going to dress up as then? 3.Let students read after the tape and read by themselves. 4. ask some students to act out. Step Four Presentation T: Boys and girls , do we celebrate Halloween in China? Which do we often celebrate in China?Look at the pictures ,Can you tell me what festival they are?(show the pictures and learn other festivals.) T:ask the students to read the name of the festivals correctly. Step Five:Practice 1.T:We know many festival in the world.Which do we celebrate in China?Which don’t we celebrate in China? Which is your favourite festival? Why do you like it? 2.read the dialogue on Page 39 and answer the questions: Which is Amy’s favourite festival? Why does she like it? 3.make dialogues as the model. Step Six : Homework 1.Remember and use the expressions and sentences. 2. do exercises in <當(dāng)> S:Yes,I do.\No, I don’t My favourite colour is red/blue/ white--- S:Yes, she does/No,she doesn’t .
